Aus gegebenem Anlass hier nochmal mein unlängst geschriebenes Gedicht über Tara, das ich für die Tara-Ausgabe der Pagan Poetry Pages - einer irischen Gedichte-Community, die zu jedem Jahreskreisfest einen Online-Gedichtband "herausgibt" - schrieb. Ich bin ja n klein bissl stolz drauf, weil ich's echt gelungen finde...! *breit grins*

Geraldine, die Herausgeberin der PPP werde ich Freitag in Dublin zum Pläuschchen, Abendessen und musikalischen Pub-Abend treffen. Darauf freu ich mich auch sehr. Sie ist außerdem die Tochter des Besitzers eines der größten Musikaliengeschäfte in Dublin. Seehr praktisch...! Da werd' ich mich gleich mal bezüglich "Low Whistle" beraten lassen... Ich würd' mir ja sooo gern eine kaufen... Naja, egal... Gedicht....! ;)

The Disenchantment of Tara

In Ireland, once upon a time
There was an enchanted place
Teamhair was this place's name
People watched Her as She stood in grace

A mantle of golden green She wore
Full of multi-coloured flowers Her dress
Palaces of stone and wood She bore
Kings and heroes to deeply impress

Enchantment took place where She was around
Love conquered the heroes hearts
While to their geasa they were bound
She was the one to shuffle the cards

Sovereignty She gave to some gallant man
Who desired to be king of the land
But couldn't he hold to it - off She ran
To a stronger man She'd give Her hand

Today now the "kings of the land" do not know
The power this Goddess does provide
Forgotten are the times when kings would show
their honour and love by Her side to reside

Now pray to the Goddess
that they might awake
that they put fingers off Her
for the magic land's sake
Let them be wise
Let them hear Her soft voice
Let them find their way back
to rethink their choice
Let them remember You
Goddess of the land
And let them be lead
by Your loving hand
